Aftermath

I hope your holidays were lovely. Our Yule and Christmas were fun. Thank you to everyone who sent a card or gift.

Michael and I went to a Blot on the 22nd. I still feeling to urge to hail random good things and the gods at every turn! I took some of my double twisted red tapers (pictures sometime today) for the gift exchange which were well received and renamed “twisted sex candles”. Maybe I should have put some kinks in them… Anyhow it was very fun. It was also Jessi’s (the hostess) birthday and she got lots of cool new sound equipment from her husband, Brett, which will help for the Goddess Music Project. A few of us are getting together soon and starting work on that, so I don’t want to say too much for now, less I jinx it.

Michael and I had our own Yule gathering on the 23rd, which went very well. I made each of the families that came a little gift basket with a raspberry bottle filled with my raspberry vinegar, a pair of red tapers, a jar of my cranstrawberry jam, our annual newsletter and an apple and orange. They were well received. Oo and I got some lovely herbs from several people to add to my hoard. I need to remember that there is a lavender farm outside Spokane and go there next growing season since it is a pick-your-own.

On the 24th and 25th we went up to Michael’s parents’ in Elk, WA for their Christmas. All Michael’s siblings (except Justin) were there. Ginanne is just starting to show her momma belly (she is 3 months pregnant), we got her and her husband a crockpot and pink crocheted blanket. In Michael’s family you have a different person to gift each year. We got a family photo (from Ginanne’s wedding a few months ago), some decorative gravel and a hot cocoa kit from Ariella (Michael’s 12-year-old sister… or is she 13?) Cocoa is already gone… My mom and dad sent Michael and I Leathermans and my brother sent us Nikon binoculars. Unfortunately we have had snow and freezing fog yesterday and today so I have yet to use them.

(Lots of photos here! - This link actually works unlike the one in the last entry.)

So all in all it was a beautiful Yule, I ate to much, didn’t sleep enough, drank and hailed, gifted and was given gifts and just had a jolly good time.

Sounds like an online product idea to me. ];>

  2. [...] Some of you might remember me talking about bringing candles to a gift exchanged and them being dubbed as “twisted sex candles”, these are them. [...]
